Meet the founder
Built by someone who’s lived it.
WYRK was founded by Abbi Cannon, a certified strength coach, Army veteran, and member of the LGBTQ+ community who knows exactly what it feels like to be side-eyed in a gym.After years of working in male-dominated environments and navigating fitness spaces that didn’t reflect her identity, Abbi built WYRK for people like her, and people nothing like her, too.The misfits. The late bloomers. The ones who lift to feel safe and strong in their bodies.She’s trained in DEI. She walks the talk. And she hires staff & coaches who do the same.

Community Driven
We train together and we show up for each other outside the gym. From potlucks to queer lifting nights, WYRK creates intentional space for connection, celebration, and support.

Coaching-first model
We’re not just another open gym with a "figure it out on your own" vibe. WYRK prioritizes coaching, through 1:1 sessions, semi-private training, and inclusive group classes, so you’re never left guessing what to do or how to grow.
Safety first
Your safety isn’t an afterthought, it’s a foundation. With 24/7 keycard access, indoor and outdoor surveillance, and zero-tolerance policies, you can focus on your training without scanning the room.
